Fair Lawn Police Department receives accreditation

The Fair Lawn Police Department was one of 29 state, county and local law enforcement agencies awarded accreditation by the New Jersey Association of Chiefs of Police "(NJSACOP") on May 9 in Princeton.

Wagner, Eustace & Gordon Hail Funding for Buyouts, Urge Relief for Residents In Flood-Prone Areas Statewide

Senator Bob Gordon, Assemblyman Tim Eustace and Assemblywoman Connie Wagner (all D-Bergen/Passaic) today hailed the Governor's announcement that $300 million in federal funding will be used to buy out Sandy-affected properties as well as repetitively flood-damaged homes in the Passaic River Basin, but said that relief is needed for residents in flood-prone areas statewide.

29 New Jersey State, County and Local Law Enforcement Agencies Awarded Accreditation

At a hearing held today in Pricenton, 29 New Jersey municipal, county and state law enforcement agencies have been awarded accreditation from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police [NJSACOP] through its New Jersey Law Enforcement AccreditationCommission (NJLEAC).Prior to the hearing, assessment teams visited each of the agencies for a two-day on-site assessment. The assessment teams subsequently recommended accreditation to the commission at the culmination of that assessment.
