Kid Brands' reports first quarter loss to nearly $1M in first quarter
East Rutherford-based Kid Brands, Inc. reported Tuesday that its net loss for the first quarter of 2013 widened slightly to $1 million, from $800,000 in the prior year’s first quarter. Net loss per share was four cents.

A forklift operator narrowly escaped tragedy Monday afternoon as the concrete floor of a warehouse collapsed, swallowing him and his vehicle in a gooey pool of spilled cooking oil and soy sauce, authorities and witnesses said.

Sinkhole in East Rutherford warehouse swallows forklift operator
Witnesses told The Record the man was moving what appeared to be bags of cement when the 10-foot deep hole opened up and the man and the machine fell in. The man managed to get out without serious injury, officials said.

New Jersey Rolls Out Annual "Click It or Ticket” Campaign
Beginning on May 20, law enforcement officials will be out in full force, taking part in the 2013 national Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement mobilization and cracking down on motorists who are not belted.

Missing East Rutherford teen found in 'good' condition, not yet reunited with parents
The missing 17-year-old Becton Regional High School junior Paola Terrazas has been found in Passaic, today, May 10, following a lengthy investigation, police said. But as of 9 p.m. Terrazas has yet to be reunited with her parents, according to her mother.
