Judge clears state of responsibility in suit filed in Garfield woman’s killing

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit against the state, the Department of Corrections and the New Jersey Parole Board in the death of a Garfield woman allegedly strangled by a parolee who escaped the custody of a halfway house.

New Jersey Rolls Out Annual "Click It or Ticket” Campaign

Beginning on May 20, law enforcement officials will be out in full force, taking part in the 2013 national Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement mobilization and cracking down on motorists who are not belted.
