North Bergen man admits bank bribery

A North Bergen man admitted Monday that he bribed an officer of Mariner's Bank in Edgewater with money and a rent-free apartment to renew a $3.5 million line of credit. Rolando Cribeiro, formerly of Hillsdale, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Peter G. Sheridan in Trenton to one count of bank bribery, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman said.

Cedar Grove to resurface seven township roads

During a May 6 meeting, the council approved a plan to repave Daniel Drive, Jefferson Road, Mountainview Drive, Highview Terrace, Hillsdale Road, Cecil Court and Tower Drive.
